Choosing picture books that encourage students to think intensively and critically about social studies concepts can be a difficult task. Additionally, facilitating discussions or reflective writing assignments that provide students with a voice to the topics is essential in the development of informed, empathetic, well-rounded citizens. This learning experience will provide educators with text examples, digital resources, and questioning stems to build a more tolerant, knowledgeable classroom or campus community.
