My name is Erica Zamarripa and I am an Aldine ISD graduate. I fought my calling to teach for a long time and after working as paraprofessional I knew I couldn’t fight it any longer. After getting prepped through the University of Texas at Dallas, thanks to the Terry Foundation, which provided me with a full Transfer Scholarship, I knew I wanted to return to my roots. In February of 2016, I began my teaching career and it has been an amazing journey. I am currently a Seesaw Ambassador, ClassDojo Mentor for Houston Academy and Teacher of the Year 2018-2019.
